    Location: Kent Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Bonus + Car/Travel Allowance

Morgan Jones is recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing independent drinks wholesaler supplying a wide range of customers across the licensed trade.

They are looking to appoint an experienced Key Account Manager to join their established sales team and take responsibility for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced business, combining account management, sales, customer relationships and operational involvement. The successful candidate will spend time both on-site and out in the field, working closely with customers and gaining a thorough understanding of how the wider business operates.

Previous drinks, beverage, food, FMCG or licensed trade experience would be advantageous, but our client is now open to candidates from a wider range of sectors. • Manage and develop a portfolio of key customer accounts

This isn't a traditional desk-based Key Account Manager position.

As part of your induction, you'll spend time working across different areas of the business to understand how everything operates. The role can be fast-paced and physically hands-on, so we're looking for someone who is happy to get involved and understand the wider operation rather than focusing solely on the sales function.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

    • Previous experience in Key Account Management, Account Management, Sales or a similar customer-focused commercial role

    • Proven experience managing and developing customer accounts

    • Strong commercial awareness and a track record of growing customer relationships

    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

    • Experience within the drinks, beverage, food, FMCG, licensed trade or another relevant customer-focused sector would be advantageous, but is not essential

    • A proactive and hands-on approach to your work

    • The ability to work comfortably across both commercial and operational environments

    • Strong organisation and attention to detail

    • The ability to work at pace and adapt to changing priorities

    • A genuine team-player mentality and willingness to get involved across the wider business

    • A full UK driving licence

We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds. You don't need to have worked in the drinks industry to be considered we're particularly interested in people who can demonstrate strong account management skills, commercial awareness, excellent customer relationships and a genuine desire to develop business.
