Interim Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner

We are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing business in the search for a on a 6 month fixed-term contract.

You will provide hands-on financial support to a designated division, acting as a trusted partner to operational, commercial and senior leadership teams. You will deliver accurate, insightful reporting and forecasting that supports key business decisions.

Key responsibilities:

Produce monthly management accounts and rolling forecasts to agreed deadlines

Deliver clear variance and trend analysis to support operational and commercial decisions

Lead the production of divisional budgets and forecasts

Prepare and manage open-book contract budgets for client review

Analyse workstream and project profitability, presenting recommendations to stakeholders

Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations

Support working capital and cash flow performance alongside Accounts Receivable

Provide financial input to tenders, commercial proposals and new business opportunities

Drive process improvements by getting more from finance systems and reporting

The successful candidate will have:

A proven track record of producing accurate management accounts to tight deadlines

A strong business partnering approach, with experience working alongside operational, commercial and senior teams

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong financial modelling and forecasting capability

Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance/ERP systems

A solid understanding of financial controls, budgeting and forecasting

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions

A positive, proactive and organised approach, able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
