General Accountant

Asbury Automotive Group, a premier operator of auto dealerships and collision centers across the United States, is seeking a General Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is crucial in supporting our expansive automotive operations that include sales of new and used vehicles, financing, repairs, and part services. The successful candidate will be integral in ensuring financial accuracy and providing strategic insights that will drive our continued growth in the automotive market.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and reports.

• Analyze financial data and assist with budget preparation and forecasts.

• Support accounts payable and receivable functions.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.

• Assist with year-end audits and coordinate with external auditors.

• Monitor internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies.

• Prepare ad hoc financial analysis to support management decisions.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
