Director, Individual Giving

SBP seeks a Director, Individual Giving to grow and steward philanthropy that fuels disaster recovery and resilience. Reporting to senior leadership, this role designs and leads strategies to expand individual, major, and mid-level donor revenue. The Director manages a robust portfolio, cultivates and solicits gifts, and crafts compelling cases for support. Partnering across Fundraising & Development, they build systems for tracking, reporting, and stewardship while mentoring staff. This mission-driven leader thrives in a collaborative, data-informed environment and is passionate about accelerating community recovery after disasters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive individual giving strategy aligned with SBP's mission and revenue goals.

• Manage, cultivate, and solicit a portfolio of mid-level and major donors to increase annual and multi-year giving.

• Design and implement donor acquisition, retention, and upgrade campaigns using data-driven segmentation.

• Partner with Communications and Programs to craft compelling cases for support and impact reporting.

• Oversee donor stewardship, recognition, and engagement events to deepen donor relationships.

• Build and refine systems for pipeline management, forecasting, and performance reporting in the CRM.

• Collaborate with senior leadership on fundraising priorities, projections, and strategic planning.

• Supervise and mentor development staff and/or consultants supporting individual giving.

• Coordinate with foundation, corporate, and digital fundraising efforts for integrated campaigns.

• Represent SBP to external stakeholders, articulating impact in disaster recovery and resilience.
