Technical Engineer Specialist
Location: London or Edinburgh (Hybrid) Duration: 6 month initial contract Day Rate: Competitive (via umbrella)
Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Engineer Specialist to join a large-scale infrastructure and security transformation programme within a highly regulated enterprise environment. This role will suit a technically strong infrastructure professional with excellent networking knowledge, stakeholder engagement skills, and exposure to CyberArk and Privileged Access Management (PAM) technologies.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the design, governance, and delivery of secure infrastructure solutions, working closely with engineers, architects, project teams, and business stakeholders to ensure successful technical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Provide subject matter expertise across network and infrastructure technologies.

Support the design, implementation, and governance of technical solutions within enterprise environments.

Contribute to solution design discussions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security standards, and architectural principles.

Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, architects, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Support technical governance, assurance activities, and change control processes.

Assist with CyberArk discovery, onboarding, configuration, and support activities.

Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risks, issues, and dependencies.

Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including design documentation, operational procedures, and implementation plans.

Ensure solutions adhere to security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Provide technical guidance and support during project delivery and transition into BAU support teams.
Required Skills & Experience

Strong understanding of enterprise networking and infrastructure technologies.

Proven experience supporting technical delivery within large-scale enterprise environments.

Experience contributing to technical solution design and implementation projects.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across multiple business areas.

Experience working within structured governance and delivery frameworks.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience with CyberArk administration, implementation, or onboarding activities.

Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) technologies and best practices.

Background in Information Security or Cyber Security.

Experience working within regulated financial services environments.

Previous experience working within NatWest or a similar large banking organisation.

Understanding of security, risk, and compliance frameworks.

Experience supporting infrastructure modernisation or security transformation programmes.
