Assistant Director of Human Resources

Sea Box, Inc., a leader in ISO shipping containers and modular systems, seeks an Assistant Director of Human Resources to support our hands-on manufacturing environment. This role partners with leadership to drive recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance for commercial, military, and government programs. You will oversee HR processes, support supervisors, enhance training and onboarding, and help implement policies that promote safety, engagement, and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates bring strong HR generalist experience, manufacturing exposure, and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of HR strategy for manufacturing operations

• Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning

• Oversee employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies

• Partner with managers on performance management and coaching

• Coordinate benefits administration and HRIS data integrity

• Support training, safety, and development initiatives

• Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and metrics

• Collaborate with leadership on engagement, retention, and culture initiatives

• Assist in HR reporting, audits, and special projects for commercial, military, and government programs Required Skills
