Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter

Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. seeks an Underwriting Specialist / Executive Underwriter to assess, price, and manage complex commercial risks within our Insurance department. You will analyze financials, exposures, and loss histories to structure profitable solutions, negotiate terms with brokers and clients, and steward a balanced portfolio aligned with Zurich's risk appetite. Responsibilities

• Evaluate, price, and underwrite complex commercial insurance risks within authority levels

• Develop and manage a profitable underwriting portfolio aligned with Zurich's risk appetite

• Analyze financials, exposures, and loss histories to structure tailored insurance solutions

• Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with brokers and key clients

• Collaborate with claims, risk engineering, and actuarial teams to optimize risk selection

• Monitor portfolio performance, adjust strategies, and report on key underwriting metrics

• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulations, and internal controls

• Contribute to product development and continuous improvement of underwriting processes

• Support junior underwriters through coaching, guidance, and knowledge sharing
