Staff Accountant

Famous Smoke Shop, a leading wholesale and retail cigar company in Easton, PA, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations. Responsibilities include A/P and A/R processing, bank and account reconciliations, general ledger entries, expense tracking, and assisting with month-end close. The Staff Accountant will help prepare financial reports, maintain accurate records, support inventory and wholesale transactions, and coordinate with operations, sales, and logistics. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, proficient in accounting software, and comfortable working in a relaxed but professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger

• Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly

• Support month-end and year-end close activities

• Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reports

• Track and analyze expenses and support budgeting processes

• Help maintain accurate inventory and cost records for wholesale operations

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

• Coordinate with sales, logistics, and operations on billing and payment issues

• Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed Required Skills
