Software Developer - Student Finance Systems (Telecommunications)

Covista seeks a Student Finance Systems Programmer/Developer to build and maintain applications that support student financial processes within our telecommunications-focused environment. You will design, develop, and optimize data-driven systems that manage billing, payment plans, and financial records, integrating with CRM and telecom platforms. Responsibilities include coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting solutions, as well as collaborating with finance, IT, and support teams to improve workflows, data accuracy, and reporting. You'll help ensure secure, reliable financial systems that scale with client needs while growing your skills in telecom and enterprise finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications supporting student financial processes

• Maintain and enhance finance and billing systems and integrations

• Write clean, testable code and perform unit and integration testing

• Troubleshoot and resolve system defects and performance issues

• Collaborate with finance, IT, and support teams to gather requirements

• Develop data models, queries, and reports to improve financial insights

• Ensure security, compliance, and data integrity within finance systems

• Create and maintain technical documentation and user guides

• Support deployments, releases, and configuration management

• Continuously improve workflows and automation for finance operations Required Skills

• SQL and relational database development
