Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster

Gallagher Bassett seeks a Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster to manage complex liability claims from first notice through resolution. In this role, you will investigate incidents, analyze coverage, evaluate liability and damages, and establish accurate reserves. You will negotiate settlements, coordinate with defense counsel, brokers, and insureds, and maintain detailed claim documentation. You will provide consultative guidance to clients on risk and claim strategies, mentor junior adjusters, and support continuous improvement while upholding high standards of integrity, service, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex general liability claims from intake through closure

• Conduct thorough investigations, obtain statements, and analyze coverage

• Assess liability, evaluate damages, and establish accurate reserves

• Negotiate settlements within authority and recommend strategies on large losses

• Collaborate with defense counsel, brokers, and insureds to drive outcomes

• Ensure regulatory, legal, and internal compliance on all claim files

• Prepare clear reports, documentation, and file notes for stakeholders

• Provide claim and risk management guidance to clients and partners

• Mentor and support junior adjusters and share technical expertise
