Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Adjuster

Gallagher Bassett seeks a Senior Commercial General Liability Adjuster to manage complex commercial GL claims from first notice through resolution. You will investigate coverage, analyze liability and damages, secure statements, and evaluate risk across diverse insureds. Responsibilities include preparing reserve and settlement recommendations, negotiating with attorneys and claimants, overseeing litigation strategy, and ensuring regulatory and carrier compliance. You will collaborate closely with clients, brokers, defense counsel, and medical providers, deliver timely reporting and exceptional service, and mentor junior adjusters in a professional, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex commercial general liability claims from first notice through closure

• Conduct detailed investigations, including coverage review, liability analysis, and damage evaluation

• Develop and maintain accurate reserves and provide timely claim reporting to clients and carriers

• Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other parties to achieve fair outcomes

• Direct and coordinate defense counsel, setting litigation strategy and controlling legal costs

• Ensure compliance with jurisdictional, carrier, and internal guidelines and regulations

• Communicate regularly with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders on claim status and strategy

• Document all claim activities thoroughly in the claims management system

• Identify risk trends and recommend strategies to improve outcomes and reduce loss costs
