Payroll Coordinator
Job Description
Pressley Ridge seeks a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to manage end-to-end, multi-state payroll for a mission-driven behavioral health and social services nonprofit. In this role, you will process biweekly payroll for exempt and non-exempt staff, validate time and attendance data, and ensure accurate earnings, deductions, and taxes. You will reconcile payroll reports, respond to employee inquiries, support audits, and partner with HR and Finance to maintain compliance and data integrity in a collaborative, trauma-informed environment with opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities

Process biweekly, end-to-end payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple locations/states.

Review and validate timekeeping data, earnings, deductions, and accruals for accuracy and compliance.

Maintain employee payroll records, updates, and changes in HRIS and payroll systems.

Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, and benefit deductions; resolve discrepancies promptly.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage, hour, and tax regulations.

Respond to payroll-related employee inquiries with timely, service-oriented support.

Prepare payroll reports for HR, Finance, audits, and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with HR and Finance on process improvements and system enhancements.

Support year-end activities, including W-2 review and reporting.

Uphold confidentiality and data security standards in a trauma-informed, mission-driven environment.
