Mortgage Loan Specialist

Burke & Herbert Bank & Trust seeks a Mortgage Loan Specialist to originate and manage residential mortgage loans for our community-focused bank. Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans and meet production goals

• Guide clients through mortgage options, applications, and closing process

• Analyze borrower credit, income, and collateral to recommend products

• Ensure loan files are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulations

• Collaborate with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to meet deadlines

• Develop referral networks with realtors, builders, and community partners

• Maintain active loan pipeline and track status through closing

• Provide responsive, relationship-based service to new and existing clients

• Use LOS and digital tools to manage applications and documentation

• Support community banking initiatives and uphold bank policies and standards Required Skills

• Mortgage loan origination
