Low-Voltage Structured Cabling Technician
Job Description
Ascension Property Services, based in Palo Alto, CA, seeks an LV Structured Cabling Technician to install, terminate, and test low-voltage network cabling in commercial environments. You will pull cable, build and label patch panels, install racks and pathways, and ensure adherence to TIA/EIA standards and safety codes. The role includes troubleshooting connectivity issues, reading blueprints, updating documentation, and collaborating with IT and project teams. Responsibilities

Install, route, and secure low-voltage cabling in commercial environments

Terminate and test copper and fiber cabling to TIA/EIA standards

Build, label, and maintain racks, patch panels, and cable management systems

Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and network diagrams

Troubleshoot and resolve cabling and connectivity issues

Document cable runs, test results, and as-built configurations

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes

Collaborate with IT, facilities, and project teams on installations and upgrades

Maintain tools, test equipment, and inventory for cabling projects

Support cutovers, moves, adds, and changes with minimal downtime Required Skills
