Litigation Claims Adjuster

Gallagher Bassett seeks a Litigation Claims Adjuster to manage complex, litigated claims within our Finance & Insurance portfolio. In this professional, client-focused role, you will evaluate coverage, analyze liability and damages, set and adjust reserves, and develop resolution strategies in collaboration with defense counsel. You will attend mediations, negotiate settlements, and ensure timely, accurate documentation and compliance with client guidelines. Working in a collaborative environment, you will support continuous improvement, deliver exceptional client service, and help drive favorable outcomes for claimants and insureds.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and manage complex litigated claims from intake through resolution

• Analyze coverage, liability, and damages to establish and adjust accurate reserves

• Develop and execute litigation and settlement strategies aligned with client objectives

• Collaborate with defense counsel, brokers, and clients to drive timely, cost-effective outcomes

• Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations on assigned files

• Ensure compliance with client guidelines, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures

• Prepare clear, timely reports and documentation in the claim management system

• Identify claim trends and contribute to process and risk improvement initiatives

• Communicate proactively with insureds, claimants, and internal stakeholders

• Support training and knowledge sharing within the claims team Required Skills
