Vacancy Ref: CH006 Role: Internal Sales / Assistant Manager Industry: Electrical Wholesale Location: Portsmouth Hours: Monday-Friday 7:00am 5:00pm 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, 8:30am 12:00pm Salary: £35,000 £40,000 + bonus

Our well established and successful electrical wholesaler client is looking for an experienced Internal Sales / Assistant Manager to join their team in Portsmouth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in electrical wholesale who is looking to take the next step in their career, combining sales, account management and branch support responsibilities.

The Role:

• Managing and developing existing customer accounts

• Generating new business and developing new customer relationships

• Handling incoming enquiries, leads and sales opportunities

• Preparing and following up on quotes

• Processing customer orders accurately and efficiently

• Providing knowledgeable product advice to trade customers

• Serving customers on the trade counter

• Building strong relationships with clients and visiting customers when required

• Supporting the branch and wider team with day-to-day operations

• Assisting with the smooth running of the branch and supporting the Branch Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years' experience within electrical wholesale is essential

• Strong knowledge of electrical products and the trade

• Proven internal sales and account management experience

• Confident dealing with tradespeople and commercial customers

• Experience generating new business and developing accounts

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Motivated, proactive and commercially minded

• Comfortable working across both sales and trade counter duties

• Full UK driving licence preferred

What's on Offer:
