General Liability Claims Supervisor

Gallagher Bassett seeks a General Liability Claims Supervisor to lead a team handling complex commercial and personal lines liability claims. You will supervise adjusters, provide technical guidance, review coverage and liability determinations, and ensure accurate reserves, timely investigations, and fair settlements. Partner with clients, brokers, and defense counsel to align strategy with account expectations and service standards. Monitor quality, productivity, and regulatory compliance while mentoring staff and supporting their development. Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of liability claims adjusters and support staff

• Oversee investigation, coverage analysis, and liability determinations on general liability claims

• Review and approve reserves, settlements, and payments within authority levels

• Ensure adherence to client service instructions, company best practices, and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with clients, brokers, and defense counsel on claim strategy and resolution

• Monitor claim quality, file documentation, timeliness, and productivity metrics

• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to team members

• Identify and address escalated or complex claims issues

• Support training, onboarding, and professional development of claims staff
