General Liability Claims Adjuster - Restaurant Accounts

Gallagher Bassett seeks a General Liability Claims Adjuster specializing in restaurant accounts to manage a diverse portfolio of liability claims from first notice through resolution. In this role, you will investigate incidents, analyze coverage, assess exposure, and set reserves while coordinating with insureds, brokers, defense counsel, and internal teams. You will negotiate settlements, manage litigated files, and ensure regulatory and client compliance. Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate general liability claims for restaurant clients, including coverage analysis and exposure assessment

• Gather and review statements, incident reports, medical records, and other documentation to determine liability and damages

• Set and adjust reserves in accordance with company and client guidelines

• Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other parties to achieve cost-effective, fair outcomes

• Communicate regularly with insureds, brokers, and internal stakeholders to provide claim updates and recommendations

• Collaborate with defense counsel and experts to develop litigation and resolution strategies

• Document all claim activity accurately and timely in the claims management system

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and client service standards

• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improved claim outcomes for restaurant accounts

• Participate in training, mentoring, and continuous improvement initiatives within the claims team Required Skills
