    • Oversee accounting across revenue, costs, inventory, provisions and the balance sheet

    • Ensure appropriate application of accounting standards, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16

    • Review journals, reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation, maintaining strong financial controls

    • Review budgets and forecasts, challenging assumptions and identifying risks and opportunities

    • Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying key drivers and root causes of variances

    • Help improve forecasting accuracy and enhance financial understanding across the business

    • Support the development of improved budgeting methodologies, reporting and performance tracking

    • Work closely with shared service teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of finance activities

    • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, data quality, controls and finance processes

    • Support audit, risk, governance and compliance activities

    • Build strong relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders, acting as a trusted finance partner

    • Manage, coach and develop members of the finance team

    The successful candidate will:

    • Be a qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent

    • Have strong experience across financial reporting, month-end and financial control

    • Possess a good working knowledge of IFRS

    • Have experience of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial planning

    • Be comfortable partnering with stakeholders and challenging financial assumptions

    • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to turn financial information into meaningful insight

    • Have experience of technical accounting and balance sheet ownership

    • Ideally have experience working with a finance shared service centre

    • Have exposure to audit, controls, risk and compliance

    • Have previous experience managing and developing team members

    • Demonstrate a track record of improving finance processes and controls

Experience within a large, international or multi-entity organisation would be advantageous, as would exposure to systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Hyperion or Trintech Cadency.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking for a genuinely broad Finance Manager position, offering a strong combination of financial control, technical accounting, FP&A, business partnering and team leadership.
