Desktop Support Specialist - Manufacturing IT

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. seeks an IT Support professional to keep manufacturing and office operations running smoothly. In this on-site role, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, support Windows environments and manufacturing-related systems, and respond to tickets, phone calls, and walk-ups. You will manage user accounts, maintain devices and peripherals, and document solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help reduce downtime, improve reliability, and contribute to Honda's culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues in a manufacturing environment

• Troubleshoot and resolve user incidents via ticketing system, phone, and onsite support

• Install, configure, and maintain PCs, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals on the plant floor and offices

• Support Windows OS, standard business applications, and manufacturing-related systems

• Document issues, resolutions, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and consistency

• Collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams to minimize downtime and improve system reliability

• Monitor system performance and escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or vendors

• Assist with user account management, access control, and basic cybersecurity practices

• Support onboarding/offboarding technology setup for employees and contractors

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and adhere to safety and quality standards Required Skills
