Data Center Technician

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician to support critical infrastructure for one of the world's largest cloud platforms. You will install, configure, and troubleshoot servers and network hardware, perform rack/stack and cabling, and respond to hardware and connectivity incidents. You will execute change management procedures, monitor data center health, and coordinate with InfraOps and engineering teams to resolve issues. This role requires precise documentation, adherence to security and safety standards, and a strong customer-focused mindset in a fast-paced, 24x7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers and related hardware

• Perform rack/stack, structured cabling, and connectivity testing

• Respond to and resolve hardware and network incidents in a 24x7 environment

• Execute change management procedures and maintenance activities

• Monitor data center health, capacity, and performance

• Document configurations, incidents, and change records accurately

• Collaborate with Infra

• Ops and engineering teams to resolve complex issues

• Ensure compliance with security, safety, and operational standards

• Support inventory management for hardware and spare parts

• Assist with on-call rotation and after-hours data center support Required Skills
