Data Center Infrastructure Technician

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Technician to support the backbone of AWS's global cloud infrastructure. In this on-site role, you will install, configure, and maintain server and network hardware; perform break-fix and preventive maintenance; manage cabling, racking, and inventory; and respond to incidents to keep services highly available. You'll follow strict security, safety, and change-management procedures while collaborating with engineers to resolve issues. Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and decommission server and network hardware in AWS data centers

• Perform break-fix troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on infrastructure equipment

• Execute preventive maintenance, health checks, and hardware lifecycle tasks

• Manage rack layout, structured cabling, and cable labeling to AWS standards

• Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and resolve incidents to minimize downtime

• Follow security, safety, and change-management procedures and documentation

• Track assets, inventory, and work in ticketing and documentation systems

• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve complex issues

• Support on-call rotations and shift work to ensure 24/7 coverage

• Contribute to continuous improvement of data center processes and standards Required Skills
