Compliance Manager

Roers Companies is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory and lease compliance across our real estate and rental portfolio. In this role, you will ensure adherence to federal, state, and local housing regulations, fair housing laws, and internal policies. You will develop and maintain compliance programs, conduct audits of properties and resident files, manage risk assessments, and coordinate responses to inspections. The Compliance Manager will train onsite teams, collaborate with legal and operations leaders, and recommend process improvements that support our entrepreneurial culture and community-focused mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain real estate and housing compliance programs and policies

• Monitor and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local housing, leasing, and fair housing regulations

• Conduct regular audits of properties, resident files, and operational processes

• Identify and mitigate compliance risks across the real estate and rental portfolio

• Prepare for and manage regulatory inspections, filings, and reporting requirements

• Investigate and resolve compliance issues, violations, and tenant-related concerns

• Provide compliance training and guidance to property management and onsite teams

• Collaborate with legal, operations, and leadership to align practices with regulatory standards

• Track regulatory changes and update policies, procedures, and controls accordingly

• Recommend process improvements to support a culture of integrity and community impact Required Skills
