Auto Injury Claims Examiner

GEICO is seeking an Injury Claims Examiner to evaluate, negotiate, and resolve auto injury claims with accuracy and empathy. You will review medical records, liability facts, and policy coverage to determine exposure, set and adjust reserves, and make fair settlement recommendations. Partner closely with attorneys, medical professionals, and internal teams while providing clear, timely communication to customers. You'll use data, guidelines, and investigative tools to prevent fraud, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional service. Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate auto injury claims for coverage, liability, and damages

• Review medical records, police reports, and statements to determine claim exposure

• Set, monitor, and adjust claim reserves according to company guidelines

• Negotiate fair settlements with claimants, attorneys, and providers

• Identify potential fraud and escalate or refer for special investigation when appropriate

• Ensure compliance with state regulations, company policies, and documentation standards

• Communicate claim decisions and status updates clearly to customers and stakeholders

• Collaborate with internal teams, counsel, and medical professionals to resolve complex claims

• Use claims systems, analytics, and tools to manage caseload efficiently

• Participate in ongoing training and performance reviews to improve technical expertise Required Skills
