Assistant Payroll Manager

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Payroll Manager to join their established payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional looking to take the next step in their career within a respected and supportive practice environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the management of a busy payroll bureau servicing a diverse client portfolio

• Processing and overseeing multiple payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis

• Reviewing payroll work to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Assisting with the management and development of junior team members

• Handling complex payroll queries and client relationships

• Ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll best practice

• Supporting the Payroll Manager with operational and team responsibilities

Requirements:

• Previous end-to-end payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy practice or bureau environment

• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation

• Experience reviewing payrolls and supporting team members

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
