Assistant Controller - Higher Education Food & Facilities Services

Aramark is seeking an Assistant Controller for its West Chester University food and facilities operations. This role supports all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly close, and financial reporting. The Assistant Controller oversees accounts payable/receivable, payroll review, inventory and cost control, and compliance with Aramark and university policies. The role partners with operations leaders to analyze performance, improve margins, and ensure accurate contract billing. The Assistant Controller helps maintain strong internal controls, supports audits, and promotes Aramark's culture of service, safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close processes for West Chester University operations

• Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and operational performance reports

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash handling procedures

• Review payroll, labor reports, and timekeeping for accuracy and compliance

• Manage inventory, cost controls, and margin analysis for food and facilities services

• Ensure compliance with Aramark, university, and regulatory financial policies

• Maintain strong internal controls and documentation to support audits

• Partner with operations leadership to identify cost savings and revenue opportunities

• Support contract billing, reconciliations, and variance analysis

• Promote Aramark's culture of service, safety, ethics, and continuous improvement Required Skills
