Analyst, SEC Reporting

Invitation Homes is seeking an Analyst, SEC Reporting to support accurate, timely financial reporting for our publicly traded single-family rental platform. In this role, you will assist in preparing 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and related disclosures, consolidating data from multiple systems, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. You will collaborate with accounting, FP&A, and other teams, support internal and external audits, participate in SOX-related activities, and contribute to process improvements in our reporting function within a performance-driven, service-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with Form 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A support.

• Compile, analyze, and validate financial data from multiple systems to support external reporting.

• Assist with XBRL tagging and review to ensure accurate electronic filings.

• Perform technical accounting research and support implementation of new accounting standards.

• Coordinate with accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and operations teams to gather and verify reporting inputs.

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, responding to requests, and documenting controls.

• Participate in SOX and internal control activities related to financial reporting.

• Analyze period-over-period results and variances to ensure completeness and accuracy of disclosures.

• Contribute to process improvements and automation in reporting workflows.

• Support special projects, including transactions, equity or debt offerings, and other public company reporting needs.
