Analyst, SEC Reporting

Invitation Homes seeks an Analyst, SEC Reporting to support timely, accurate external reporting for a high-growth, publicly traded real estate company. In this role, you will assist in preparing Form 10-K, 10-Q, and related SEC filings, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations. You'll collaborate with accounting, finance, and operations to gather data, perform analyses, and support close activities. You will also help with XBRL, auditor requests, and implementation of new reporting standards, contributing to process improvements in a performance-driven, service-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with Form 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings, including footnotes and MD&A.

• Ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP, SEC rules, and internal policies.

• Gather and analyze data from accounting, treasury, and operations for external reporting.

• Support XBRL tagging and review processes for SEC submissions.

• Assist with quarterly and annual close, including journal entries and reconciliations.

• Partner with auditors by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues.

• Monitor new accounting/SEC guidance and assist with implementation of reporting changes.

• Support internal controls and SOX documentation related to external reporting.

• Contribute to process improvements and automation in reporting workflows.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to explain results and support management reporting.
