Accounts Payable Clerk London Temporary £11 per hour

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established organisation in London, which is looking for a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to join its finance team on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional who is available at short notice and can quickly settle into a busy finance environment.

As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will support the day-to-day running of the purchase ledger function, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently

• Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies

• Coding and posting invoices to the appropriate accounts

• Preparing supplier payment runs

• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating outstanding items

• Responding to supplier queries and resolving payment issues

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date supplier records

• Processing employee expenses where required

• Assisting with month-end activities and reconciliations

• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks as required We're looking for an Accounts Payable professional who can hit the ground running and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

You will ideally have:

• Previous Accounts Payable or purchase ledger experience

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Experience processing a high volume of invoices

• The ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies

• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

• Experience using an accounting or ERP system would be advantageous This is a great opportunity to gain further experience within a busy finance function while working as part of a supportive team.

The role is temporary, making it particularly suited to an experienced Accounts Payable professional who is available immediately or at short notice.
