    Group Financial AccountantCambridge (2 days in the office)12 Month Fixed-Term Contract£60,000 - £65,000 Our client is a highly respected international organisation seeking a technically strong Financial Accountant to join their Group Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working within a collaborative, high-performing finance function, taking ownership of group reporting, statutory accounts, technical accounting and financial control in a complex, multi-entity environment.Working alongside an experienced finance leadership team, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate month-end reporting, supporting statutory reporting requirements and providing technical accounting expertise across the business. We're working with a leading international organisation undergoing a significant finance transformation programme and are seeking a technically strong accountant to support key governance and process improvement initiatives across its Ireland and Benelux operations.This is a predominantly remote role, with regular fully expensed travel to a single site in Ireland (approximately 7-8 visits per month) and occasional travel to the London office.The OpportunityYou'll play a pivotal role in strengthening financial controls, improving balance sheet integrity and supporting wider finance transformation and IPO readiness initiatives. This is a hands-on assignment where you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact by embedding robust processes and improving financial governance.Key Responsibilities Lead the completion and standardisation of balance sheet reconciliations, resolving legacy issues and ensuring all accounts are fully supported. Establish a robust monthly balance sheet reconciliation process, delivering reconciliations by Working Day 6/7. Document, review and standardise finance processes alongside the wider EMEA Finance team. Support finance data cleansing activities and ERP readiness, including involvement in potential system migration projects. Manage lease accounting reconciliations, including administration of lease accounting software and preparation of monthly IFRS 16 journals. Drive improvements in financial controls and governance across multiple entities.About YouYou'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting expertise and a proven ability to improve finance processes within complex, multi-entity organisations.You'll also bring: Extensive financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experience. Strong understanding of financial controls and governance. Experience operating within international or multi-entity businesses.
