    HR Manager - Poole - 42,000 Location: Poole, Dorset Salary: 42,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent, Full-time TeamJobs are recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join a well-established business based in Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Manager or Senior HR Advisor who is ready to take ownership of a standalone HR function. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will have the autonomy to manage the day-to-day HR operation while also developing policies, processes and people initiatives across the business. This is a varied, hands-on position and would particularly suit someone who enjoys being the go-to person for all things HR. What you'll be doing: - Taking ownership of the day-to-day HR function and providing practical advice and guidance to managers across the business. - Managing employee relations matters including disciplinaries, grievances, performance and absence cases . - Leading formal HR meetings and ensuring accurate documentation and processes are followed. - Reviewing, developing and maintaining HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook . - Managing the full recruitment lifecycle , including job descriptions, agency liaison, interviews, offers and onboarding. - Preparing contracts and supporting all new starter, probation and leaver processes. - Maintaining accurate and compliant employee records and HR documentation. - Supporting absence management, including return-to-work processes. - Preparing and maintaining relevant payroll and holiday documentation. - Monitoring employee training records and certification. - Supporting HR compliance activities, including workstation risk assessments. - Using the HR system to maintain accurate employee information and support effective reporting. - Identifying opportunities to improve HR processes and ways of working across the business. What we're looking for: - Previous experience as an HR Manager, Senior HR Advisor or experienced HR Generalist . - Ideally, experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or similar commercial environment . - Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice . - CIPD Level 3 or above would be advantageous, although equivalent practical experience will be considered. - Strong employee relations experience with the confidence to independently manage disciplinary, grievance and performance cases. - Experience managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding . - Excellent communication skills with the ability to build credible relationships with managers and employees at all levels. - Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload. - Previous experience with PeopleHR or another HRIS would be beneficial. - A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to take ownership and make decisions.
