Roles & Responsibilities: - Setting up and operating CNC machines, which includes loading workpieces, selecting tools, and setting machine parameters. - Following and interpreting engineering drawings, understanding the specifications and tolerances required for each part. - Creating and modifying CNC programmes, using CAD software or manual programming to create the necessary instructions for the machine. - Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise during the machining process. - Ensuring quality and accuracy of finished parts and verifying that they meet the required specifications. Preferred requirements and skills: - Previous experience in CNC programming using Alphacam CAD CAM system is essential - Experience in using Puma SMX2600S CNC LATHE and Puma 3100LSY multitask turning machines is essential - Ability to program set and operate using a Fanuc31iB5 plus CNC control - Strong understanding of engineering drawings - Excellent attention to detail - Ability to identify and resolve issues - Able to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects - Self-motivated with a can-do attitude Qualifications and education requirements: - GSCE Mathematics - Good level of basic English
