The Opportunity North Tyneside £25,587 - £27,251 Permanent 28-35 Hours per Week Nigel Wright is delighted to be supporting a well-established and values-led organisation in the North Tyneside area with the recruitment of a Finance Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a friendly and collaborative finance team, playing a key role in day-to-day income processing, customer account management, payroll support and financial administration. The position will also be heavily involved in the implementation of a new finance system, offering exposure to systems change and process improvement projects. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Finance Manager, responsibilities will include: - Managing customer accounts and responding to finance-related queries. - Raising invoices and supporting regular billing cycles. - Processing and reconciling a variety of income streams. - Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting financial controls. - Assisting with payroll administration and reconciliations. - Supporting month-end activities, account reconciliations and reporting. - Handling banking activities, cash processing and associated administration. - Working closely with operational managers to reconcile schedules and resolve discrepancies. - Supporting the implementation and ongoing development of a new finance system. - Contributing to continuous improvement of finance processes and controls. What we're looking for We are keen to speak with candidates who have: - Previous experience working within a finance or accounts function. - Experience of sales ledger, invoicing, reconciliations and income processing. - Strong Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyse data. - Experience using finance systems such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, Xero, Microsoft Dynamics or similar. - Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills. - A proactive approach with the confidence to investigate and resolve issues. - Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships. - AAT Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience, although candidates studying towards further qualifications will also be considered.
