We're looking for an AI Platform Engineer to help design, build, and scale the infrastructure and systems that power our AI/LLM-driven applications. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Technical Team Lead to oversee the day-to-day operation of the Service Desk while acting as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure, cloud, and Microsoft 365 issues. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership and project delivery across a varied client base. Key Responsibilities - Lead, mentor, and develop Service Desk engineers, ensuring high ticket quality and SLA performance. - Act as the senior escalation point for complex 2nd and 3rd line technical incidents and drive root-cause resolution. - Plan and deliver infrastructure and migration projects, including P2V/V2V server migrations, Azure migrations, and Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations. - Manage and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file services. - Support Hyper-V and VMware virtualisation platforms. - Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 technologies including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune. - Assist with the design and implementation of Microsoft 365 security and compliance solutions. - Support Azure and hybrid cloud environments where required. - Lead customer onboarding and technical transition activities for new managed service clients. - Maintain technical standards, documentation, knowledge base articles, and best practice procedures. - Review and approve technical solutions proposed by junior engineers. Skills & Experience - Proven experience in an MSP environment supporting Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualisation technologies. - Experience delivering infrastructure, migration, and cloud transition projects. - Strong understanding of backup, disaster recovery, networking, firewalls, and cyber security best practices. - Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills, with the ability to work directly with clients and internal teams. - Relevant Microsoft, Azure, VMware, or security certifications are desirable. Full UK driving licence required.
