    Nelson Permanent Placements are working with our client recruiting for an Internal Sales Executive. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and globally recognised manufacturer of electrical, mechanical and safety infrastructure solutions. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Executive to support their sales team from their West Bromwich office. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer orders, managing enquiries, providing quotations and building strong customer relationships. This role would suit an organised individual with excellent communication skills who enjoys delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities of an Internal Sales Executive: - Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using internal systems. - Progress orders through to dispatch and monitor delivery schedules. - Respond to customer enquiries relating to stock availability, pricing and product information. - Provide first-line technical support where possible. - Produce and issue customer quotations. - Maintain regular communication with customers, transport providers and external sales teams. - Conduct outbound sales calls to promote products, re-engage inactive accounts and support sales campaigns. - Support account administration, including debit and credit queries. - Organise transport for non-standard deliveries. - Liaise with internal departments regarding manufacturing, assembly and delivery issues. - Provide administrative support to the wider sales team as required. - Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and activity. To be considered for this role as an Internal Sales Executive you will: - Have previous experience within an Internal Sales, Sales Support, Customer Service or Account Management position. - Possess strong communication and relationship-building skills. - Have a professional and confident telephone manner. - Be competent using Microsoft Word and Excel. - Have experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, InforX or similar would be advantageous). - Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. - Be able to work independently and as part of a team. - Demonstrate a proactive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for customers. - Have strong administration skills and attention to detail. The Area Sales Manager will play a key role in driving the demand creation and growth of market share within their designated region. The position is an all-encompassing area management role, responsible for managing relationships with both existing and potential customers while providing comprehensive sales support. The role involves a mix of both strategic account management and demand generation activities, ensuring that the company's products and services are promoted effectively to meet the needs of wholesalers and contractors alike. The key responsibilities of this role as an Area Sales Manager: - Manage a portfolio of electrical wholesaler accounts, including nationals, independents, and buying groups. - Identify new business opportunities and establish new distributor partnerships to drive growth in the region. - Actively engage with electrical contractors and installers by offering design support, promoting the benefits of the company s products. - Conduct joint sales calls, trade counter mornings, and product training sessions to build relationships with local contractors. - Present and demonstrate products, highlighting features and benefits to both wholesalers and contractors. - Maintain and develop a strong sales pipeline by managing customer relationships and regular follow-ups. - Conduct market analysis and stay updated on competitor products and market trends to adapt sales strategies. - Utilise CRM and Outlook to keep track of activities, appointments, and customer data, ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed. - Organise and implement a planned schedule of customer visits to maximise sales opportunities within set parameters. Qualifications and skills of an Area Sales Manager: - Full and clean driving licence required (any points must be disclosed during the interview process). - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other essential business software. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels. - Demonstrable experience in sales, preferably in the lighting or electrical industry, with a strong focus on specification and demand creation. - High level of organisation and time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and maintain focus on targets. - Strong presentation skills, capable of delivering clear and effective product demonstrations and sales pitches. - Flexible and proactive approach to work, with the ability to travel regularly and stay away from home when necessary. - A solid work ethic, with the ambition to succeed and deliver excellent results in a competitive environment.
