This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the wider finance team across multiple entities, following a period of growth and acquisition. The role offers exposure across transactional finance, with involvement in both ledgers, cash management and credit control, making it ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience within a busy and evolving environment. This is a high-visibility role, working closely with senior leadership (including MD and CFO level), offering influence and the opportunity to drive financial performance and improve processes. The Role This is a hands-on Finance Manager role where you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting operational decision-making, and ensuring strong financial control. You'll act as a key link between finance and operations, providing insight and challenge to support business performance. Key Responsibilities - Own the month-end close process and produce monthly management accounts - Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments - Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations - Deliver monthly flash reports and weekly KPI reporting - Oversee accounts payable, including payment run approvals - Monitor accounts receivable, identifying and escalating risk - Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support audit requirements - Assist with payroll processes where required - Partner with operational teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making About You - Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) - Experience in a similar Finance Manager role - Background in manufacturing, engineering, or a fast-paced environment preferred - Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail - Able to work to tight deadlines and manage competing priorities - Confident engaging with stakeholders across finance and operations - ERP system experience What's on Offer - Full ownership of a business unit finance function - High exposure to senior leadership - Opportunity to influence and improve processes - Competitive salary and benefits package - Hybrid and Flexi-time
