    Head of Financial Reporting & Control Lead Financial Excellence in a Global Business We are seeking an accomplished and commercially minded Head of Financial Reporting & Control to lead the accounting, reporting, governance, and compliance functions across an international business. This is a strategic leadership opportunity for a qualified finance professional with extensive technical accounting expertise, a passion for process improvement, and a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams. As a key finance leader, you will oversee financial reporting across multiple international entities, ensure compliance with global accounting standards, strengthen financial controls, and drive transformation through automation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting - Lead all aspects of the accounting function, including month-end close, consolidation, and financial reporting. - Oversee the timely and accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial results across international entities and subsidiaries. - Review complex commercial contracts and new business arrangements to identify and address accounting implications. - Partner with business units and corporate teams to provide technical accounting guidance on complex and significant transactions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, UK GAAP, and German GAAP. - Monitor emerging accounting standards and lead the implementation of new reporting requirements. Controls & Governance - Develop and maintain scalable financial processes, systems, controls, and policies to support business growth. - Ensure a strong internal control environment that safeguards company assets, minimizes risk, and meets compliance requirements. - Create and maintain comprehensive accounting policies and procedures to promote consistency and best practice. - Champion ethical leadership and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. About You We're looking for someone who is motivated, organised and keen to continue developing their accounting career. You'll ideally have: - Part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or at least two years' experience within an accounting or finance role. - Experience supporting month-end close and posting journals. - Strong reconciliation skills and excellent attention to detail. - Exposure to statutory audits would be advantageous. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. - The confidence to work effectively with both finance and non-finance teams. - The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. - Strong Excel skills. - Experience using Sage 50 is highly desirable, while Sage or Xero experience would be advantageous. Previous experience within a fast-paced commercial environment is beneficial, and an interest in sport would be a distinct advantage. Day rate equivalent to circa £50k annual salary This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead a critical 6-month data remediation project, helping the business strengthen the integrity of its Salesforce platform. You'll be making a real impact by cleaning up data issues that are influencing reporting, KPIs, and sales visibility, setting the organisation on a path to more reliable insights. In this role you will: - Audit, clean, and remediate Salesforce data across Opportunities, Accounts, Contracts, and Leads. - Overhaul the renewal database, resolving systemic issues affecting renewals and order types. - Investigate and fix pipeline inconsistencies, duplicates, zero dollar opportunities, and account mismatches. - Review and optimise Salesforce fields, retiring low-usage ones and removing manual workarounds. - Build reports and dashboards to monitor data health and support stakeholder decision-making.
