This is not a cold-calling role. You'll work with customers who are already engaged in the product development process, guiding them through the commercial stages and helping them make informed manufacturing decisions. The Role Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you'll manage a pipeline of approximately qualified customer opportunities each month. Through telephone and video consultations, you'll build strong relationships, understand customer objectives and provide commercially viable manufacturing solutions. You'll use in-house pricing and formulation systems to prepare proposals, discuss commercial options and confidently guide customers towards placing manufacturing orders. Key Responsibilities - Manage a pipeline of qualified customer opportunities each month. - Conduct regular telephone and video consultations with prospective customers. - Build rapport and develop trusted relationships throughout the sales process. - Understand customer requirements, budgets and commercial objectives. - Provide consultative advice to help customers develop commercially viable products. - Prepare and present manufacturing quotations using internal pricing systems. - Explain commercial options including ingredients, packaging, product formats and order quantities. - Liaise with internal departments to identify practical manufacturing solutions. - Maintain accurate records and consistent follow-up throughout the sales cycle. - Convert qualified opportunities into confirmed manufacturing orders. About You We're looking for a confident, commercially minded individual who enjoys building relationships and delivering exceptional customer service. You'll be comfortable speaking with customers throughout the day, asking insightful questions and confidently guiding conversations towards positive outcomes.
