    IT Systems Engineer

    London
    Permanent
    Competitive

IT Systems Engineer Base Salary: £31,000 £35,000 Benefits: Private healthcare & dental, 27 days holiday + more Location: Whitechapel, London 3 days a week in the office The opportunity: This is a great next step for someone with a couple of years IT experience who wants more ownership than simply working through a support queue. You ll be joining a SaaS business as the go-to person for day-to-day internal IT, supporting around 60 users across the UK and international offices. It s a small environment, so you ll get plenty of autonomy, but you ll also have direct access to one of the co-founders who will help mentor and develop you. A lot of the repetitive support work has already been automated, which means this isn t just a case of resetting passwords all day. You ll still look after the day-to-day IT environment, but there ll also be opportunities to get involved in improvement work, automation and internal projects. Day to day You ll look after the internal Microsoft environment, supporting users across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Active Directory. You ll manage laptops and devices, handle starters and leavers, create user accounts and make sure equipment is configured properly. You ll also be the person people come to when monitors, printers, meeting rooms or other bits of physical IT aren t behaving themselves. Alongside the BAU work, you ll help improve how internal IT is delivered. That could mean building out automation, improving processes, creating user guides or getting involved in projects set by the co-founder. There s some exposure to AWS and wider SaaS platforms too, so there s plenty to learn if you re someone who likes figuring things out rather than waiting to be shown every step. Who we are looking for You ll probably have around 2 3 years IT experience and be ready for a role where you can take a bit more responsibility. A good grounding across Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Windows devices and general IT troubleshooting is important. Some knowledge of networking fundamentals such as IP, DNS and firewalls would also be useful, although the core network itself is managed externally. Experience with Macs, SharePoint, Intune/device management, AWS, Salesforce or NetSuite would all be useful, but you don t need to tick every box. The bigger thing is attitude. They re looking for someone curious, personable and comfortable working things out. Someone who can be given a problem they haven t seen before, go away, research it and come back with an answer rather than immediately passing it on. You ll be interacting with people across the whole business, so you need to be able to communicate well too. This won t suit someone who wants to sit behind a screen all day and avoid speaking to people. The Next Steps If you ve got a couple of years IT experience and you re looking for a role where you can take more ownership, learn directly from senior people in the business and start getting involved in more than just support tickets, this could be a really good move. Drop Joe White at CRG TEC a message or apply and I ll give you a call to talk through the role properly.

PIA Auditor Remote Position Package - Salary £35,000 upwards plus private health. Working in the network delivery section of a full fibre network owner and ISP, we're looking to bring in a PIA auditor who will be joining the team responsible for the quality check of digital photos and evidence. You'll be responsible for making sure every build submitted to Openreach is evidence-correct, compliant, safe, and auditable before closure. This will be done remotely, via the desktop-review of photo / digital time stamped evidence and searching each design element and its dependencies, i.e. change request tickets associated to design changes recorded elsewhere within the PaaS. It's quality assurance and ideally, we are looking for someone that can blend hands on time in the field around FTTP network deployment using PIA with the desk-based systems knowledge - solutions such as Salesforce, Depotnet or Vitruvi etc. Background: You'll come from a fibre build and compliance background, with a particular focus on network audit and quality. Detailed knowledge of Openreach PIA processes (NOI, structure, permissions and cat-b restraints are essential) and also, you'll understand construction phase milestone codes (CP) - you'll need to be able to point to understanding of CP08, CP10, CP13 and CP17. Familiarity with NRSWA, CDM is assumed and ideally, you'll also have exposure to Power BI. Organisational skills are key on this one. It's a fast moving, build deployment background so work needs to be accurate and fast, especially due to the remote / working from home aspect. Position will start on a direct, 6-month fixed term contract but then will become permanent for the right person in early 2027.

    Lancashire, Chorley
    Permanent
    £55,000 - £65,000/year

Infrastructure Engineer (MSP) Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + Benefits Benefits: 24 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, private healthcare & dental, birthday off + more Location: Chorley (4 days a week in the office) Travel: Occasional travel to customer sites and data centres. The opportunity: This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's leading MSPs, but don't expect to feel like just another number. Whilst the business has grown significantly, the Chorley office has retained a close-knit feel where everyone works together, shares knowledge and isn't afraid to jump in and help when needed. It's the sort of environment where titles matter less than getting the job done. You'll spend your time delivering infrastructure projects, supporting customers through complex technical challenges and acting as a trusted technical resource across a broad range of Microsoft technologies. Alongside the customer-facing work, you'll also have the chance to help improve the way the team operates. Whether that's refining documentation, improving technical processes or sharing knowledge with colleagues, you'll play a part in making an already strong team even better. Day to day You'll be delivering infrastructure projects, migrations and upgrades across customer environments while providing technical consultancy and senior-level support when required. You'll work closely with customers to understand their requirements, troubleshoot complex issues and see projects through from design to delivery. You'll also contribute to technical documentation, help improve internal processes where opportunities arise and support the wider engineering team by sharing knowledge and acting as an escalation point for more technical challenges. Who we are looking for We're looking for someone with a strong infrastructure background, ideally gained within an MSP, who enjoys working with customers and takes real ownership of their work. You'll have experience across Microsoft infrastructure, virtualisation, networking and cloud technologies, along with a track record of delivering projects and supporting complex environments. More importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys being part of a team. Someone who's happy to roll their sleeves up, help colleagues when needed and contribute wherever they'll have the biggest impact. This isn't an environment where people stay in their lane everyone pulls together to deliver the best outcome for customers. The Next Steps If you're looking for a role where you'll get to work on varied technical projects while joining a genuinely supportive team, I'd love to tell you more. The opportunity: I'm working with a growing MSP that's built an excellent reputation within the education sector, partnering with schools and Multi-Academy Trusts to design, deliver and support modern, secure IT environments. As they continue to invest in their Solutions team, they're looking for a Solutions Consultant who enjoys working with customers to understand their challenges and design infrastructure and cloud solutions that are technically robust, commercially viable and deliver genuine business value. Working closely with Sales and Professional Services, you'll take ownership of the presales process from discovery through to solution design, helping customers with projects ranging from Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace migrations to networking, virtualisation, identity, security, backup and wider digital transformation initiatives. Day to day You'll run technical discovery workshops with customers, taking the time to understand both their technical estate and wider business objectives before designing tailored infrastructure and cloud solutions. Working alongside the Sales team, you'll produce high-quality proposals, Statements of Work and supporting technical documentation, ensuring every solution is commercially viable and ready for successful delivery. You'll present your recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, building trusted relationships with IT teams, school leadership and senior decision-makers. Once projects are agreed, you'll work closely with the implementation team to ensure a smooth handover and successful delivery. Who we are looking for We're looking for someone with strong infrastructure knowledge who enjoys solving customer problems and communicating technical solutions in a clear, commercial way. You may already be working as a Solutions Consultant or Presales Engineer, or perhaps you're a Senior Infrastructure Engineer or Professional Services Consultant who's regularly involved in solution design and wants to move into a dedicated presales position. Your background could come from an MSP, public sector or another complex enterprise environment where you've been responsible for designing and recommending infrastructure solutions. You'll be confident leading customer meetings, gathering requirements and translating business needs into practical technical solutions, while building credibility with both technical teams and senior stakeholders. Technically, we're looking for experience across a broad Microsoft infrastructure stack including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, VMware or Hyper-V, alongside networking technologies such as HPE Aruba or Cisco. Experience with Google Workspace, Intune, SCCM, SAN/NAS storage, backup technologies such as Redstor and producing Statements of Work or technical proposals would also be beneficial. The Next Steps If you're looking for an opportunity to join a growing MSP where you'll influence solution design, work on varied infrastructure and cloud projects, and become a trusted technical advisor to customers across the education sector, we'd love to hear from you. Please apply today or get in touch with Joe White at CRG TEC for a confidential conversation. Even if this role isn't quite right, I'd be happy to talk through other opportunities across the MSP market.
