    Marketing Executive (Maternity Cover) Salary: Up to £30,000 per year (depending on experience) Contract: 11-month Fixed Term Start Date: September 2026 We're looking for an experienced and organised Marketing Executive on a 11-month maternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys managing multiple projects, creating engaging marketing campaigns, and working in a fast-paced B2B technology environment. The Role You'll play a key role in ensuring the marketing activity continues to run smoothly throughout the maternity cover period. Working closely with the Marketing Team and Website Administrator, you'll take ownership of campaign delivery, support product launches, coordinate vendor marketing activities, and help keep both website and digital channels up to date. What You'll Be Doing - Planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across email, website, social media and print. - Managing email marketing and CRM campaigns from creation through to reporting. - Creating and publishing engaging website and social media content. - Supporting product launches and vendor marketing initiatives. - Coordinating trade shows, roadshows and customer events. - Monitoring campaign and website performance, producing regular marketing reports. - Working closely with colleagues across Marketing, Sales, Purchasing and Product Management. - Providing day-to-day direction to the Website Administrator to help prioritise marketing activity. About You We're looking for someone who has: - Previous experience in a marketing role. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. - Experience with email marketing and/or CRM platforms. - Good Microsoft Office skills. - A degree or equivalent qualification. It would also be beneficial if you have experience within the technology, hardware or B2B distribution sector, along with knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or Google Analytics. Key Responsibilities - Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients. - Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank transactions, and journals. - Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations. - Preparing and submitting VAT returns. - Assisting with management accounts preparation. - Liaising directly with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries. - Maintaining accurate financial records using cloud accounting software. - Supporting accountants with year-end accounts preparation. - Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines. Key Responsibilities - Manage the accurate and timely processing of payrolls for a varied client portfolio. - Oversee weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls from start to finish. - Ensure compliance with current HMRC legislation and payroll best practice. - Manage pension auto-enrolment and statutory payments, including SSP, SMP, SPP and SAP. - Submit RTI returns and complete year-end payroll processes, including P60s and P11Ds where applicable. - Act as the main point of contact for payroll clients, delivering an exceptional level of service. - Keep up to date with payroll legislation and implement changes across the bureau. - Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiencies. - Lead, mentor and support the payroll team, encouraging continuous development. - Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues across the practice. About You You'll be an experienced payroll professional with strong technical knowledge and a passion for delivering an outstanding client experience. You'll ideally have: - Previous experience managing payroll within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau. - Strong leadership or supervisory experience. - Excellent knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements. - Experience using payroll software such as Paycircle, Sage Payroll or Xero. - A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail. - Strong organisational and communication skills. - The ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - A CIPP qualification (desirable but not essential).
