Operational Security & Project Support 36 Month Contract Based in Belfast (100% On Site) Role Overview Belcan are currently supporting one of the leaders in Aviation with their search for a contractor specialising in Operational Security & Project Support. You will be able to demonstrate a solid background in business and project management with a passion for continual improvement as well as a robust adherence to policies and directives. You will be responsible for supporting the physical security operations activities including self-delivered and third-party security solutions. You will be given the flexibility to work with the whole Physical Security Operations team to adapt these activities to best meet the company needs. Responsibilities - Coordinate and manage Physical Security Project enablement across the UK Strategic Projects. - You will be supporting the Physical Security Operations team with the delivery of all services to the business including, Security Operations, Security Systems, Fire Fighting, Emergency Response and Fire Safety. - Assist with the continuous development of the Security service provision to the business by checking, auditing, collating and analysing reviews to understand root causes of failures in order to identify service improvements. Implement those improvements and assess the results. - You will assist the Head of Site Security and Site Security Managers with the running of the daily SQCDP meeting, ensuring that all actions are captured on the tracker and actions are identified with owners and tracked through to resolution. You will be responsible for compiling the weekly KPI report for each site and ensuring that these are available prior to the weekly KPI meeting. - Assist & support in the management of Security, Systems & Fire Service Providers. - Assist & support with the management of Security, Systems & Fire risks and Issues through the relevant systems & tools - Assist & support with the implementation of Fire & Emergency Response. - Assist & support with providing appropriate security, Systems & fire input into event and project planning and implementation. - Lead Capex on a project basis. - Active Risk Management (ARM) central coordinator - You will be responsible for EHS - 11 Point Plan upkeep - Assist the Site Security and Systems Manager with the performance management of the supplier inline with all contractual documentation. - Assist the Fire and Operations Manager with the performance management of the supplier inline with all contractual documentation. Essential - Project Management training (2 years) A background in business administration or operational support. - Experience of auditing, process confirmation, root cause and analysis and continuous improvement. - Ability to work flexibly and an adaptable approach to daily activities is essential. Project Accountant Location: Oxford - Hybrid, 3 days onsite minimum requirement Contract: 12 months, strong likelihood of extension - Mon - Fri / 08:30 - 17:00 / 37.5 hrs per week. Key Responsibilities - Liaise with the Senior Management Team to validate the financial integrity of bids and contract proposals before submission to customers. - Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project plans and schedules to support future contract opportunities. - Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, operating plans and forecast updates, highlighting and reporting variances where required. - Ensure financial data is accurate, with costs correctly allocated and labour bookings maintained across programmes. - Support programme risk management activities and provide financial input on key risks and opportunities. - Prepare contract reviews and monthly Estimate at Completion (EAC) updates in line with Group reporting requirements. - Monitor labour and subcontractor costs, ensuring accurate booking and reporting. - Support month-end close activities and ensure appropriate accounting treatments are applied across programmes. - Lead SSRO audits from a finance perspective and coordinate responses as required. - Complete annual SSRO supplier reporting submissions. - Support statutory audits and provide responses to programme-related financial queries. - Assist with wider finance activities, including support for spares and training operations. - Act as the primary finance contact for programme-related enquiries. - Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to operational and programme teams. - Challenge and support programme delivery teams to drive strong financial performance. - Monitor compliance with internal controls, company policies, risk management requirements and accounting standards. - Maintain programme financial data within SAP and support reporting enhancements and system improvements. Skills and Experience Essential - Professional accountancy qualification or part-qualified accountant. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. - Experience within a financial controlling, programme finance or project reporting environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Strong analytical and report-writing capability. - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet challenging deadlines. - Understanding of work package management and project cost control. - Knowledge of risk management principles. - A structured, organised and methodical approach to planning and reporting activities. Desirable - Experience in project accounting. - Experience using SAP. - Knowledge of the Single Source Regulatory Office (SSRO) framework. - Understanding of Single Source Contract Regulations (SSCR). - Knowledge of Ministry of Defence commercial and accounting procedures. - Experience within the defence, aerospace, engineering or regulated sectors.
