    We're partnering with a well-established care charity to recruit an Interim Head of Finance for an initial six-month contract. Joining at a pivotal time, you'll lead the finance function through the annual budgeting cycle while driving improvements to financial planning and forecasting. A key priority will be supporting the implementation of a new planning tool, helping to enhance reporting, business partnering and financial insight across the organisation. There is a possibility the role could go permanent for the right candidate. Key responsibilities - Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and planning process. - Support the implementation of a new financial planning system. - Produce insightful management reporting and financial analysis. - Partner with budget holders and senior leaders to support decision-making. - Oversee monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting and financial controls. - Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance. - Lead and develop a small finance team. About you You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) with experience leading finance in a complex organisation. You'll bring: - Strong budgeting, forecasting and FP&A experience. - A commercial, business-partnering approach. - Experience improving finance processes or implementing planning/reporting systems. - Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate financial information clearly. - Charity sector experience is beneficial but not essential.     About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join Synchronicity Earth, a global conservation charity working to protect some of the world's most overlooked and threatened species and ecosystems. Working with more than 130 conservation partners worldwide, Synchronicity Earth takes a long-term, trust-based approach to funding conservation and supporting locally led solutions. As Finance Officer, you'll play a key role in keeping the finance function running smoothly, supporting accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial processes and helping improve systems as the organisation continues to grow. What you'll be doing - Processing accounts payable, receivable, journals and bank reconciliations. - Supporting month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations. - Managing supplier payments and employee expenses. - Maintaining data integrity across NetSuite and Salesforce. - Supporting finance process improvements and system enhancements. About you You'll have experience in a finance role, strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. You'll enjoy working with systems and processes, be confident using Excel and thrive in a collaborative environment. Experience with NetSuite or a similar finance system is desirable but not essential. Support towards a professional finance qualification is available for the successful candidate.     People Partner Permanent Full-time Research organisation £60k-£66.5k 3 days onsite (London) Altum are partnering with a leading scientific non-profit research organisation to recruit an experience People Partner. This is a rare opportunity to join a collaborative HR team at an important stage in the organisation's development, supporting the implementation of a new people strategy. Working closely with senior leaders across scientific and operational functions, you will provide strategic and practical people support while leading key initiatives across talent, engagement, workforce planning and organisational development. Key responsibilities: - Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, acting as a performance coach and strategic adviser - Partner with specialist HR teams to deliver talent, succession, engagement and wider people initiatives - Use workforce data and analytics to provide meaningful insights that support decision-making - Lead and develop People Advisors, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement - Manage complex and sensitive employee relations matters - Support workforce planning, headcount management and organisational change activity - Oversee the people elements of business cases, team restructures and closure plans - Lead projects and improve HR processes to increase efficiency and consistency About you You will be an established HR generalist with significant experience at People/HR Business Partner level within a large or complex organisation. Further required experience includes: - Strong knowledge of employment law, and current HR best practice - Experience delivering talent, succession, engagement or organisational development initiatives - The ability to interpret people data and translate insights into practical solutions - Experience influencing senior stakeholders and managing competing priorities - CIPD membership, or equivalent knowledge gained through senior HR experience This role would suit a pragmatic, adaptable and collaborative People Partner who is comfortable balancing strategic priorities with hands-on delivery.
