    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Manager with an accountancy background, to join a well-established and progressive firm of Chartered Accountants. This is a pivotal role, taking responsibility for the day-to-day operational & financial management of the practice. Working closely with the Directors, you will oversee compliance, systems, finance, administration and office operations while helping to drive continuous improvement across the firm.The Role - Oversee the day-to-day running of the practice and its support functions. - Manage operational processes, workflows and practice management systems. - Oversee the firm's internal finance function, including billing, credit control, payroll and VAT. - Ensure compliance with AML, GDPR, Health & Safety, ICAEW and other regulatory requirements. - Lead operational projects, system implementations and process improvements, including the adoption of AI and new technologies. - Manage supplier relationships, office facilities and IT providers. - Produce management information and operational reports for the Directors. - Support the management and development of administrative staff. The Successful Candidate - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification. - A minimum of three years' experience as a Practice Manager within a UK accountancy practice. - A strong understanding of the operational and regulatory requirements of an accountancy firm. - Experience managing compliance, office operations and practice management systems. - Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. - A proactive individual who enjoys improving systems, processes and efficiencies.     A highly respected mid sized accountancy practice, based in Hertfordshire is looking to recruit an experienced client bookkeeper to join the team. Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping, VAT returns, assisting in the day-to-day operations of clients and if experienced, management accounts. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work within a friendly and professional team.Key Responsibilities - Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a varied portfolio of clients. - Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day bookkeeping queries. - Provide bookkeeping software support and training to clients where required. - Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements. - If experienced, preparing management accounts and reports/data. - Work with cloud-based and desktop accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Dext. Experience & Qualifications - 3 years + bookkeeping experience gained within a UK accountancy practice or outsourcing environment. - Experience managing a portfolio of clients would be highly advantageous. - Experience preparing management accounts would be beneficial but is not essential. - Strong knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and other cloud accounting software. - Excellent communication skills with a proactive and organised approach.     Senior Reporting Accountant - Real Estate Investment Consultancy We are working with a growing real estate investment and fund consultancy that is looking to appoint a technically strong Senior Reporting Accountant to join its London finance team. This is a broad, high-impact position offering significant autonomy and exposure across statutory reporting, technical accounting, financial controls and process improvement. The successful candidate will work across a varied portfolio of real estate and fund structures, partnering closely with financial controllers, senior leadership, external auditors and advisers. The role would particularly suit an ACA or CA-qualified accountant with a strong audit background who is looking to move from practice into a commercially focused finance environment, with immediate exposure to complex real estate and fund structures. Key Responsibilities - Lead the review of statutory financial statements across a portfolio of UK and offshore entities. - Ensure compliance with relevant reporting frameworks, including IFRS, FRS 102 and Jersey GAAP. - Coordinate external audits, manage information requests and support the resolution of technical queries. - Review accounting policies, disclosures and significant judgement areas, including investment property valuations, lease accounting and intercompany transactions. - Take ownership of the firm's ISAE 3402 assurance programme, including coordinating stakeholders, reviewing control findings and overseeing remediation activity. - Act as an internal technical accounting specialist, advising on complex and non-routine transactions. - Prepare technical accounting papers and supporting documentation for audit sign-off. - Monitor changes to financial reporting standards and assess their impact across the business. - Support accounting for acquisitions, disposals, development activity, debt restructurings and new entity onboarding. - Review quarterly management accounts and investor reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency. - Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement projects, with a focus on improving controls, data quality and reporting efficiency. - Support the evaluation and implementation of new finance systems and reporting tools. - Deliver technical training and support the professional development of ACA and ACCA trainees within the business. Candidate Profile The successful candidate will ideally have: - ACA, CA or equivalent professional qualification. - A strong audit background, ideally gained within a Big Four or top-tier accountancy firm. - Experience preparing or reviewing statutory financial statements under IFRS or FRS 102. - Strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to research and document complex accounting matters. - Exposure to ISAE 3402 or wider controls assurance engagements would be highly advantageous. - Experience within real estate, investment funds, asset management or financial services would be beneficial, although strong technical candidates from other sectors will also be considered. - Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple entities, deadlines and stakeholders. - A proactive and commercially minded approach, with a genuine interest in improving processes and controls. - Strong Excel skills and confidence working with accounting and financial reporting systems.
