Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster

Gallagher Bassett seeks a Workers Compensation Claims Adjuster to manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from first report through resolution. You will investigate accidents, obtain statements, review medical records, analyze coverage, and determine compensability and reserves. You will negotiate settlements within authority, coordinate with medical providers, employers, attorneys, and injured workers, and ensure timely, accurate documentation. You will apply jurisdictional regulations, maintain strong customer service standards, and contribute to quality, cost-effective claim outcomes in a professional, collaborative environment with training and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from first notice through closure

• Conduct timely investigations, obtain statements, and gather relevant documentation

• Review medical records and bills to assess injury, treatment, and disability status

• Analyze policy terms and jurisdictional rules to determine coverage and compensability

• Establish and adjust reserves based on exposure and file developments

• Negotiate settlements within authority, documenting rationale and outcomes

• Coordinate with employers, injured workers, medical providers, attorneys, and vendors

• Ensure accurate, timely claim notes, correspondence, and regulatory filings

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve claim outcomes and client satisfaction
