Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster

Gallagher Bassett, a global leader in risk and claims management, is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to manage complex commercial and workers' compensation claims. In this client-focused role, you will investigate coverage, analyze liability and damages, set and adjust reserves, and negotiate settlements within authority. You'll coordinate with insureds, brokers, medical providers, attorneys, and internal teams to drive timely, cost-effective claim resolutions and support injured individuals' recovery. You will also mentor junior staff, ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements, and contribute to process improvements in a professional, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of complex commercial and workers' compensation claims from first notice through closure

• Conduct thorough investigations, including coverage analysis, liability assessment, and damages evaluation

• Establish, monitor, and adjust reserves in line with company and client guidelines

• Negotiate settlements within designated authority, balancing cost control with fair outcomes

• Collaborate with insureds, brokers, medical providers, attorneys, and internal teams to drive timely resolution

• Ensure regulatory, statutory, and client-specific compliance in all claim files and documentation

• Prepare clear, timely reports and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders

• Participate in audits, quality reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior adjusters and support staff
