Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster - Bodily Injury & Litigation

Gallagher Bassett seeks a Senior General Liability Claims Adjuster to manage complex bodily injury and litigation claims. You will investigate coverage, evaluate liability and damages, set and adjust reserves, and negotiate settlements within authority. Partner with defense counsel, attend mediations, and guide litigation strategy to achieve cost-effective outcomes. Prepare detailed reports for clients, ensure regulatory and policy compliance, and deliver responsive, professional communication. Mentor junior adjusters, support continuous process improvement, and uphold our high standards of integrity and client service.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate complex general liability bodily injury and litigation claims

• Analyze coverage, liability, and damages and establish appropriate reserves

• Negotiate settlements within authority and recommend settlements on larger exposures

• Direct and collaborate with defense counsel on litigation strategy and file handling

• Attend mediations, hearings, and settlement conferences as needed

• Prepare clear, timely reports and updates for clients and internal stakeholders

• Ensure compliance with regulations, client guidelines, and company policies

• Provide professional, responsive communication to clients, claimants, and partners

• Identify trends and contribute to process and risk improvement initiatives

• Mentor and support junior adjusters on technical and file-handling issues Required Skills
