Senior Complex Claims Adjuster

Gallagher Bassett, a global leader in risk and claims management, is seeking a Senior Resolution Manager to oversee complex finance and insurance claims from intake through closure. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of high-severity or litigated claims, conduct detailed coverage and liability analysis, set and adjust reserves, and negotiate fair, timely settlements. You will collaborate with clients, defense counsel, medical providers, and internal teams to drive superior outcomes, ensure regulatory and policy compliance, and deliver best in class customer service. You will also mentor junior staff, support continuous process improvement, and contribute insights to reduce clients' total cost of risk.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex and high-severity insurance claims from intake through resolution

• Conduct detailed coverage, liability, and damages analysis in accordance with policy terms and regulations

• Establish, monitor, and adjust reserves to reflect claim exposure accurately

• Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and other stakeholders to achieve timely, fair outcomes

• Collaborate with clients, defense counsel, medical providers, and internal teams to coordinate claim strategy

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, carrier guidelines, and internal quality standards

• Prepare clear, timely documentation, reports, and updates for clients and internal leadership

• Identify trends, provide feedback, and recommend process improvements to reduce total cost of risk

• Mentor and support junior claims professionals, sharing best practices and technical expertise

• Contribute to client presentations and reviews related to claim performance and outcomes Required Skills
