Liability Claims Supervisor

Gallagher Bassett seeks a Claims Supervisor - Liability to lead a team managing complex liability claims. You will oversee file quality, coverage decisions, reserves, and settlements while ensuring regulatory and client requirements are met. In this role, you'll coach and develop adjusters, handle escalated and high-exposure claims, and collaborate with clients, attorneys, and internal partners to drive superior outcomes. You'll use analytics and best practices to reduce claim costs, improve processes, and support Gallagher Bassett's culture of integrity, service, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of liability claims adjusters handling complex claims from intake through resolution

• Review and authorize coverage, reserves, settlements, and litigation strategies within authority limits

• Ensure regulatory, legal, and company policy compliance across all liability claim files

• Analyze claim trends, outcomes, and costs to drive process improvements and client value

• Coach, mentor, and develop adjusters through feedback, training, and performance reviews

• Partner with clients, brokers, and internal stakeholders to provide clear claim updates and recommendations

• Collaborate with risk control and analytics teams to reduce claim frequency and severity

• Handle escalated or high exposure liability claims and participate in negotiations and mediations

• Support implementation of best practices, quality audits, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Contribute to reporting, metrics, and presentations for leadership and key clients Required Skills
