Infrastructure Security Engineer

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Security Hardware Engineer to design, implement, and harden infrastructure security for large-scale cloud platforms. You will architect secure hardware and network controls for AWS data centers, integrate security features into infrastructure services, and drive end-to-end threat modeling and risk assessments. Partner with engineering teams to embed security by design, automate controls, and improve monitoring and incident response. In AWS's customer-obsessed, high-ownership culture, you'll tackle complex global challenges, learn cutting-edge cloud technologies, and raise the security bar at massive scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure hardware and infrastructure controls for AWS data centers

• Architect and harden network security, including segmentation, firewalls, and VPNs

• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security design reviews for infrastructure services

• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security by design into new and existing systems

• Automate security controls, monitoring, and compliance checks at scale

• Analyze security telemetry and support incident detection and response improvements

• Develop and maintain security standards, patterns, and best practices for infrastructure

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to remediate vulnerabilities and reduce risk Required Skills
