A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Dumfries is looking for an ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified Business Services Senior to take ownership of accounts assignments across a varied client portfolio.

The client base spans sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, reflecting the character and diversity of the local business community. The team is friendly, experienced and invested in developing its people. Crowe Watson Recruitment has a strong presence across the Scottish accountancy market.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

• Assisting managers and partners on more complex assignments and technical matters

• Acting as a reliable point of contact for clients and handling queries confidently

• Supporting the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns as required

• Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team Required skills and qualifications:

• ACA or ACCA qualified or part qualified, with a solid accounts preparation background

• At least three years' experience within a UK Practice environment

• Proven experience preparing accounts for a range of client types to a high standard

• Good working knowledge of accountancy software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks

• Professional client facing manner, well organised, with the ambition to progress in practice Benefits:
